We have been skiing and renting condos or houses in South Lake Tahoe for many years; The location of the Zalanta condos is great, just a quick walk across the street to the Gondola for skiing and there's numerous options for food and shops right outside the doors. I would stay at the Zalanta condos again in the future, but this specific unit is in desperate need of new furniture to make it worth staying in again. We found ourselves wanting more seating in the living area for lounging after a long day of skiing, especially since the couch was so blown out. The property should not be allowed to advertise that this sleeps 7 as the pull out couch was so uncomfortable that no one would actually want to sleep on it, not to mention you have to move a very heavy concrete coffee table out of the way to use it. Luckily we were only a group of 5 so we had an opening in one of the queen beds open that we were able to sleep the person designated for the couch, but even then the queen beds were like sleeping on boards and the bed frames themselves made loud noises with even the slightest moves. The couple in the King bed were satisfied with their bed, but this unit needs some new furniture to be worthy of the price you pay especially with so many options in the area.
