This place was better than described!! Everything was spotless. Bed was so comfortable. They thought of every little thing for this cabin. We loved waking up & seeing all the deer. My husband and I along with our great Dane stayed at the cabin for a weekend so we could go to Fredericksburg and the surrounding areas. What I like about this place is you feel very isolated from other people. There are no other dwellings right next to the cabin. So it was nice to have silence in the mornings, and really dark skies to be able to see bright stars. It’s a great change of pace coming from the Houston area to be able to see deer, hear goats, chickens, and the birds chirping. We even saw a horse. The cabin is sparkling, clean and very cozy. The hosts had it decorated for fall and it made it feel very cozy, warm and welcoming. The hosts are excellent communicators, and everything about the process was super easy.

We wanted a really quiet place to stay for a weekend getaway, and Y Knot Cabin did not disappoint. Randy & Michelle were very communicative throughout the entire weekend (in a positive way, not an oppressive/pushy way). The property is lovely, and the cabin was just perfect. The kitchen was wonderfully well stocked (oils/seasonings/honey/dishware/coffee pot/pots & pans), and the fresh eggs in the fridge were a really nice touch. All of the linens were in good shape, the bed and furniture was perfectly comfortable. We really enjoyed staying here and talked about wanting to return (which seems to be a common theme from the other reviews and the guest book). Thanks!

Randy’s cabin is a total gem! Exceptionally clean, spacious, and with beautiful views. If skies are clear you will have spectacular stargazing opportunities and you will see deer - lots of ‘em - all over the area. It’s located about 20 minutes from Fredericksburg so you can enjoy that quaint town and then sleep in the country, with the windows open, and enjoy the sounds of the nearby rooster doing his thing each morning- but not too loudly. Randy is a superb host and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommended!!
