This place was amazingly set up at the top of a hill, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. Our host, Michael, was incredibly welcoming and helpful; she even called us beforehand to explain the location and how to get there. It’s not directly on the highway; you can either take a scenic mountain road or choose the cable car. The drive felt like a mini adventure of its own! The breakfast was savory and absolutely delicious, with fresh bread and good coffee to start the day right. The whole experience felt more like a retreat, perfect for contemplation and soaking in the unique mountain panorama. I would love to return someday. Highly recommended if you're looking to disconnect and reconnect with nature.
That said, a few things might be challenging for some: the access road is narrow and not for nervous drivers, the bathrooms are shared, and rooms are basic (they don’t come with a mirror, trash bin, or even a single chair). So if you’re expecting hotel-like comfort, this might not be the place for you.
However, considering the price, the warm hospitality, and especially the incredible view, it's absolutely worth it. It's more of a nature retreat than a standard accommodation, and that’s what makes it special. I’d definitely love to come back one day.

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer ist Neu und duftet nach Holz.
Die Lage ist, wie es sich für eine Alm gehört, sehr weit oben am Berg. Man kann eigentlich nicht mit dem eigenen KFZ anreisen.

The unique location and therefore the view from the hotel is unbeatble at the top of the Kuhtai ski slopes at 1888m elevation. If one misses the last skilift at 16:15 (or doesnt wish to use it), the drive up the mountain road is quite challenging ; ). But thanks to the detailed directions and prompt availability of the host (and some quick exchange of photos of how key junctions look), getting lost in the windy paths can be overcome and the arrival at the Alm makes up for the relatively long, but exciting journey. Great hospitality, at this family run business. An adventure that one doesnt forget!

К сожалению, нет дороги для машин, я так и не нашла описания этой информации об отеле, только в вопросах, но это не очевидно! Очень важно для остальных: добраться можно (если вы не хайкер) только на канатной дороге, это в нашем случае +60 евро за дорогу и 10 евро за парковку (то есть проживание обошлось в 200 евро), далее 30 минут пешком сначала в одну сторону (под гору) потом 30 минут обратно - в гору...это стало неожиданным сюрпризом (мы весь день хайкали и очень устали)
Самое важное: канатная дорога до 16.15 (хотя заселение формально и до 17) мы чуть не опоздали, подниматься на машине по гравийной дороге по серпантину на такую высоту мы просто побоялись.
Ресторан как бы есть, но его как бы нет. Он работает без меню (то есть платишь за что-то, что называется просто ужин: милая леди (это не сарказм, она правда очень мила и улыбчива) предложила ужи и описала его как "очень вкусно", мы уставшие с дороги, толком не разобрались, в итоге мы заплатили за ужин 70 евро примерно (томатный суп+котлеты из шпината) муж ел, я и сын - нет, судя по отзывам - многим нравится еда, но мы не веганы...да и в целом очень специфичная еда конечно...и поесть конечно больше негде и нечего, если вы не принесете что-то с собой.
