Great space for all our family. Quiet & private.

A little run down but we all still lived the property.

Our family group ranged from infant to elderly and everything in between. The house itself was large and spacious meaning we all had privacy but were able to congregate in the shared areas which fit 20+ people. Most of the rooms had an ensuite so there were more than enough bathrooms and toilets for everyone. The host also accommodated for the pets we brought along, even providing dog bowls. The privacy on a large piece of land, secured with a gate was one of the best parts of staying on the property. The host was very helpful when we had a power outage in the area and was very friendly when we were leaving.

The only reason I would rate 9.5 out of 10 is the damp smell in 2 of the downstairs bathrooms and a couple of the couches in the shared lounge needed seat cushions for comfort. The bbq is a small one so we needed more cooking time.

The location. The lounges were great. Plenty of room.

I didn't know it had stairs and we were ladies in late 70s and 80s. The stairs were very step with no hand rails. The cleaners had not cleaned the rubbish draw in the kitchen. There was a rubbish bag and mouldy rubbish in the draw. There was condensation in some rooms. In one room all the power went out for the whole stay. The kitchen had a puddle of water on the floor from condensation and the same with one of the end bedrooms downstairs. A big thistle met us at the main door when we arrived but on the 3rd day a gardener came and cleaned up a bit around the place and lawn was cut. I would like a discount for the faults found and money refunded because we only had 10 people instead of 12 people staying.
