Spectacular location- beautiful tidal estuary behind the village filled with seabirds (the name of the place is "Le Chant des Oiseux"- "Birdsong", very intelligent security system on both main gate and back gate. 5 minute walk to Juno Beach, two excellent restaurants (La Maison Bleu in particular) on the way. Shopping center 10 minutes away by car. Apartment was completely equipped, recommend the bedding option for your stay, also bring your own shower/bath soap. We had our own reserved parking spot which was a blessing as we were out all day and didn't have to worry about parking when we got back.
It's a question of taste. The village is very well done, but is a high-density layout and popular with families (there's a nice pool). So it will get pretty crowded in high season. We had a ground-floor apartment so we didn't have to haul gear up external stairways to second/third floor facilities, and in our case the bathroom was fitted out for disabled guests. I guess this is why there was no shower stall whatsoever, just a hand sprinkler, and the floor is not laid properly so you have to use a squeegee (provided) to sweep the water into the drain. Would get pretty humid and uncomfortable if more than two people were staying there.

Logement très fonctionnel, bien adapté pour une personne à mobilité réduite. Bel equipement à disposition dans l’appartement.
La pente inversée ou trop horizontale d’évacuation d’eau dans la douche qui demande à jouer de la raclette. Dommage également de ne pas avoir accès à la piscine de l’établissement.

De ruimte was absoluut heel klein, we hadden dit officieel met hond geboekt, die hadden we uiteindelijk niet bij ons, had ook niet geweten waar ze had moeten blijven.
De slaapbank sliep verschrikkelijk. En stonk ontzettend.
Het zwembad was doordeweeks 20.00 en in het weekend 19 00. Dat vonden wij wel heel vroeg.
Gelukkig waren wij er maar 4 dagen. Maar voor ons nooit meer!
