Our family (us, our adult children plus two grandchildren) really liked Parrot Key. Great pools and grounds, quiet porches and hammocks, and excellent staff. The pools were so warm - so much more fun. Nice to have a restaurant and bar on-site. The 3 BR/3BA set-up was great with one BR/BA room separate on ground floor, and the other two on the upper floors - allowed for privacy or togetherness. Proximity to groceries and Walgreen's was convenient. For our group, it was nice to be away from the crowds of Old Town. We would have liked to self-park given the cost, but the valets were super efficient. We didn't use the shuttle, but saw it in action. We did have a problem upon checking in where the property said VRBO payment had not properly transferred and required a hold on the FULL payment again, which was very inconvenient. Front desk people were very nice about it, but not a great situation for us. You might want to check before arrival that all payment has been accepted to avoid this unpleasant start to your stay.
