Were there for my wife's birthday. Honest review of the stay, had some issues initially but we pitched in for a little cleanup and organization and all was great from there. If you're just using the upstairs area it's all good, main floor has a lot of restaurant equipment stored so took a bit to get it organized for us to use. Think the normal VRBO stay may just be the upstairs.First it's a great property. Bedrooms and living area upstairs, downstairs used to be a restaurant with a commercial kitchen and a small bar. Outdoor area is great, had the birthday dinner outside. Great old Victorian home... it's huge, think 11,000 square feet total. Walking distance to downtown Pendleton. We used the kitchen to make our food, set up outside for our dinner. She provided some tables to use and the dishware. We hung out in the bar in the evening after heading inside for the night. The owner was in the kitchen off and on while we were there. Didn't really notice much since we were mostly upstairs or outside. If you are looking for the 5 star resort type location with everything in its place, this probably isn't for you. If you want to stay at a really unique Victorian with some obvious history then by all means book this place. Very memorable stay and would definitely stay there again, we had a great time.

We loved this old house! It’s all upstairs. The bedrooms are big and the bathrooms are well done! Perfect for walking to downtown areas. We were very comfortable. It appears to have been a B&B prior. Each bedroom has its own keys and two bedrooms open into the living / kitchenette. 3 bedrooms share one bathroom, the other full bath is through the master bedroom. There are 2 small refrigerators and 2 microwaves - one each in the kitchenette and one in the master bedroom. There is an 2nd level outdoor patio and a balcony off one of the bedrooms with a nice seating area. There is an outside patio on the ground level. It states a hot tub, which we never did find / we asked the host but did not get a response. He left an alternate number to contact, but we did not try it. The description states there is a kitchen/ stove top/ oven/ dishwasher. Technically there is a commercial kitchen on the ground level, but it wasn’t functional enough for us to feel good about cooking in it. We planned to eat out most meals, so this didn’t affect us much, but if you planned on cooking most meals in, this would not have worked. I probably would not list this location type as river - it is in town - 2 blocks through town to the river. I loved the artwork and fun martini glasses in the cabinets. Very quaint vintage house complete with creaking wood floors and lots of personality. We were 8 adults in Pendleton for the live underground tours. We liked that we did not strip beds/start laundry.
