The decor and overall presentation was nice. The house is at the end of a street so it was quiet. Water pressure was good and hot water was quickly available. The flat is warm and heating was on throughout our stay.
The split level and stairs are situated between the two bedrooms. For a short stay, with a toddler who does come through to parents during the night, we felt there was nothing in place to make this situation safe. There is a 1 inch drop from the kitchen to the landing, at which point there is the set of stairs to the main door on the left and 2-3 stairs up ahead of you. There is no night light or stair gate, and we tripped here even in the daytime. We opted for one of us to sleep in a single bed with the toddler for peace of mind because we could see it would be so easy for them to be hurt trying to come through to us in the night.
Cleanliness of beds and sinks etc was fine, but we had to wash every plate we wanted to use as there were food remnants. Every saucepan is scratched badly. There is black mould on the ceiling on the landing.
We had some issues in the local area which were not the fault of the property, but did make us wonder about the location as non-locals.
