Appartamento nel borgo di Micciano

We had an amazing stay here. The apartment is very tastefully refurbished, with a mixture of traditional values and modern looks and provides very convenient lodging for four people. We travelled with our kids, but as each bedroom has its own bathroom, the apartment might be a good choice for friends as well. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and had very comfortable beds and bed linen, not mentioning the wide assortment of soft towels. The terrace provides great views on the Tuscan landscape, which keeps changing each part of the day. The apartment belongs to Agriturismo Aia Leccioni, which offers breakfast and dinner, a pool with great views and is run by very kind and helpful staff. Maria Rosaria, Monika and Gabriela, thanks a lot for your extreme hospitality and recommendations that made our stay even more memorable! Micciano is a charming and tranquil hilltop village with very friendly people. The apartment is the only one rented, so you will feel a bit like a member of the family. Micciano also offers breathtaking views all around. It's worth exploring the village and finding the viewpoints. You can see the wide Tuscan landscape, Volterra and splendid sunrises and sunsets. It's also highly recommended to check the local bar, Circolo Arei "il Balzello" where Daniela offers degustative dinners on some weekends. Dishes are of great quality, variety and taste and provide an insight to Italian and Tuscan cuisine. The bar has limited opening times, on some weekdays/weekends and only offers food on some weekends. Opening times are displayed at the entrance. The sea is also close in Cecina, providing private and free beaches, a vibrant 'holiday atmosphere' and a variety of shopping opportunities, should you need a break from exploring the Tuscan must-sees.

We missed one thing only: a table and chairs for the terrace, so that guests could have their meals, coffee or glass of wine conveniently while enjoying the view.
