Villa Montreux

Loved the location and the view. The beds were comfortable, & the upstairs bathroom was very nice.

The guest instruction book should be front and center when you come in and say read me first -we spent 30 min looking for washer and dryer. Then messaged asking for location which wasn’t answered for 3 hours. The living and kitchen area could use to be redone. The kitchen should be better organized with the basics such as olive oil salt and pepper and extra paper towels and baggies or containers for leftovers -I know this sounds small but to travelers this is something small that goes a long way. The kitchen felt chaotic. Also the rugs need to be replaced or cleaned they gave the property dirty feel. As well as the furniture and pillows in the living space. It cheapened the feel and it was a gorgeous property with the best views -just needs a bit of refresh in these two rooms.

The view is stunning! If you travel as a group it is a much better option to stay in this villa rather than a hotel. Fully equipped kitchen, a dishwasher and a washing machine outside of the villa in the common area. 3 bedrooms, comfortable beds. 15 min walk to the railway station but very uphill.

While there are 2 toilets on each floor, the shower is factually only one (the one on the ground floor can hardly be used, uncomfortably placed). The door in the main bathroom is very noisy (old?) so everyone on the upper floor is awake if somebody is using a toilet at night. The staircase is not very convenient for elderly and kids, no railings. The host is not very responsive: we were struggling to find a washing machine as it is outside and this is not mentioned in any instruction, and the host never responded to my text.

The property is not properly maintained. Broken chair and door knobs. The second bathroom is very inconvenient and the toilet not properly flushing. The rubber hot tub outside was not working and very difficult to get to. Car parking space is very challenging and difficult to exit into the street. The villa is not conveniently located to downtown for walking.
