La Senne

Oh, how we loved our stay here! The place is wonderful in every way. The colors are beautiful and inviting. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, and the stairs are wide and easy to use. The host, Charlotte, was super nice, accommodating, and very quick to respond to any questions we had. We especially appreciated the book of recommendations Charlotte put together based on her own experiences. We also loved the La Senne café downstairs — such a nice touch. We enjoyed our breakfasts there, and the food was delicious! The staff were friendly and welcoming. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The room’s soundproofing is top-notch, and we had the best sleep. It was very close to, and within walking distance of, everything we wanted to see. We enjoyed our stay here so much that we wished it could have been longer. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

The host was a super host

La Senne is a lovely small guesthouse with rooms over the La Senne cafe. Charlotte who runs it was really helpful and friendly and gave us useful information both before our arrival and during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with a great bathroom. It's also really helpful to be able to leave the bags there pre or post checkout. The location is pretty good, about 15 mins walk to the Grand Place.

The door to the room rattled quite a lot when anyone passed and the people in the room next door were very heavy footed!

Everything was excellent, even the little cookies were delicious. Really convenient location between old town and the Eurostar/midi train station.

The one and only drawback was that I hadn't realised the cafe wasn't open on a Sunday morning. It might be worth highlighting this for Saturday night bookings.
