The apartment is in a lovely leafy suburb of Paris with supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries and much more. It is approx 10 - 15 mins walk from La Defense metro station and the perfect base from which to explore Paris. Puteaux is very well kept and we always felt safe when walking and especially when returning at night. As the pics show the apartment is mainly white which adds to the feel of space and light. Its on the first floor and while the front door remains unlocked we never had any intrusions or safety issues. There are plenty of towels, constant hot (very hot!) water and the washing and nespresso machines were a welcome addition. If you are a bargain hunter check out the Outlet downstairs :)
The toiletries provided are a 15ml bottle of shower gel and same of shampoo, so bring your own. On day 2 when the host enquired if everything was ok we asked if we could have some more pillows. He asked if some pillows were missing to which we replied 'no, just one of us has a back injury and would be very grateful for one or two more pillows' (the mattresses need replacing and night one was very uncomfortable!). We also asked for some sharp knives for food preparation (theres a chopping board but nothing to chop with!) The host then replied that he had checked all beds and there were sufficient pillows. So one of our family members had to manage with rolled towels and very uncomfortable sleep for the duration of our stay. The bed in the ensuite bedroom is missing a drawer, another drawer is missing its front and 2 out of 3 of the sinks have no plug so be very careful with small items especially jewellery. As others have mentioned the windows looking out onto the road need proper curtains. Finally dance music can be heard coming from a neighbouring property/business but only during the day .
