Mike is very friendly and full of suggestions for having a nice time. The cottage is very beautiful and comfortable.
The double mattress in the first floor bedroom is not at all comfortable while the two single beds below are much better.

A Magical Step Back in Time!
Our two-night stay at this 300-year-old traditional stone cottage was easily the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had been transported back in time, yet the cottage was spotlessly clean and perfectly equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home.
We had a bit of a rough start to the day with a flat tire and a vehicle swap, which resulted in a very late arrival. Mike was absolutely wonderful about it! He met us in the dark with a flashlight to help us navigate the windy driveway and gave us a warm welcome that immediately put us at ease.
Mike’s hospitality didn't stop there—he sat down with us and shared a wealth of local information and history, helping us plan exactly what to see during our two days in the area. His recommendations were incredibly helpful and made our short stay so much more meaningful.
The kids were especially thrilled to see the horses on the property! If you are looking for a unique, historic, and cozy place to stay with an exceptional host, look no further. We absolutely loved it and can't recommend it enough!

Hosts that go above and beyond to ensure the comfort and best experience for their guests. Cozy and warm cottage with ample Turf to burn. Many nooks to settle with a book or relax in front of the fire. Fresh country air and walks at the doorstep. All of the comforts you need in your little home away from home. Thank you Mike for your hospitality, company and rich knowledge of Irish history and sharing the history of this home and the area with us.
