The region is perfect for cycling or long walks in the hilly or flat landscape. Near Faxe you will find forest and beach and the Feddet peninsula with its unique heath landscape. In the Faxe limestone quarry, Faxe Kalkbrud in Danish, you can look back on 63 million years of history. A short drive will take you to Skovtårnet, an architecturally striking tower in the middle of the Gisselfeld forest, which offers a unique panoramic view, and there is also a climbing park afterwards, making it a wonderful day out for the whole family.
