Very thoughtful space. The owners clearly care about their space and guests and they went above and beyond. Great, off the beaten path location to explore the local area. Cool little shop with fresh sugar cane juice from the property.
Minor annoyances included a bright street light (lamp post) that was shining right into the bedroom window. One of the bedrooms smelled a bit mildewy.

Jungle vibe, wilderness like, outdoor private kitchen for our unit and also a community kitchen, unique rooms including the "jungle boat,' which is apparently the most booked, community hot tub with background lightning bug-like lights (amazing at night), unique lighting and lush foilage and fruit trees all around, sunset viewing deck, super clean and comfy rooms/seating area with fun decor, a HUGE majestic banyan tree next to our Manta Soul Tiki Cottage unit
about 1 mile from Manta Soul Tiki Cottage property to public parking lot for 4 mile roundtrip STEEP hike down/up to Kealakekua Bay / Capt Cook Monument - lots of wild pig and goat along hike
Most interesting and accomplished hosts - both clinical psychologists, well-renowned and published. I am reading two of their books now.
very minor thing- perhaps just season (end of January our visit dates) maybe just a 1-2 week span, our unit was below trees dropping big nuts and it was loud. Hosts provided ear plugs which helped but was surprising at times how loud with super quiet night otherwise. So much biodiversity - loved the birds, coqui frogs and geckos.

This is the place with a great kitchen stocked with lots of stuff. Go to the grocery store on your way there.
There are snorkels and flippers to use and the the snorkeling at the Captain Cook monument is excellent. Just plan for the walk it’s not difficult but a climb.
The nearby Manini Park is great. Was too windy for kayaking so we missed that.
The sound of Coqui frogs was loud our first night but part of the experience.

Loved the set up; 2 seperate bedrooms and common LR, Kitchen and bath. Plus access to the larger common kitchen and all the sitting areas. Such a cute place!
