La vue sur Santa Croce, l'espace et la lumière, la situation (proche toutes les commodités et sites)
Les 2 étages (problème de mobilité et heureusement que nous n'avions que 2 petites valises), et surtout le bruit causé par la fréquentation de la rue et des clients du resto en dessous !

The room was spacious and comfortable. Francesco was extremely friendly and helpful — whenever I had an issue, he responded quickly and took care of it responsibly.
The location was excellent. Most major attractions in Florence were within a 30-minute walking distance. There were plenty of restaurants nearby that stayed open late, and there was even a Carrefour just a 1-minute walk away that stayed open until midnight. The area felt very safe, even when walking back late at night.
If you’re sensitive to smells, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place. Since it’s located in an old building, there’s a strong and unpleasant odor as soon as you open the door, especially the smell of sewage, which filled the entire apartment. I had to keep the windows open for ventilation the whole time. Even after I reported the issue, and Francesco kindly came with tools to clean, it didn’t make any real difference. Showering was the most uncomfortable part of each day because the bathroom smelled terrible, and the shower area was very small.
Due to the building’s age, noise from upstairs was also a big issue. I don’t think it was intentional, but the sounds of walking or moving furniture were extremely loud, and even late at night I could clearly hear noise from tourists on the street below.
Lastly, there’s no elevator in the building, so you have to carry all your luggage upstairs by yourself — which can be quite inconvenient if you have heavy or multiple bags.
