The Dodsworth modern 4 bedroom house, sleeps 8

It does what it says on the tin. Easy walk to city centre. Enough of everything to accommodate 8 people. Great communication from owner who was very accommodating in letting us deposit our food into the fridge before entry time as it was one of the hottest days this year.

Bedrooms were compact but that would be the only compromise and we were aware before renting.

Excellent property. Everything that we needed was there. The location was perfect. 10-15 min walk into the centre

Could have done with a few games. Not really a dislike though. Just an observation.

The house was very modern, clean, and extremely comfortable for our group. The location was excellent and very convenient for visiting York. We also really appreciated having two parking spaces, which made everything much easier.

Easy 25 min walk into town. Enough parking for 2 cars

The house wasn’t clean. We sent a list of issues over after our arrival as it was so disappointing. Chipped and dirty plates and cups. Dirty oven that had an overwhelming garlic smell. Dirty microwave. Stain and lots of hairs on the sofa. We dropped an item that rolled under the sofa, move to get it and it was disgusting. Dust down the stairs and on surfaces. Broken light in the bathroom. One bulb missing in the bathroom. Plug hole in the bath was disgusting. We have photos but don’t think it’s appropriate to post on the review. The cleaners were sent in during our stay without our consent and I’m not sure what they did but it didn’t improve things very much. All in all not worth the money we paid and certainly wouldn’t go back or recommend to anyone.
