Cabin is in Dorrington about 10 minutes from the State Park. It was very clean, WiFi worked great if that is important. We only ate breakfast there everyday as we were out pretty early and returned late from hiking and sightseeing. The stairs to access the cabin are steep, might be an issue with someone with bad knees or below average physical shape. Take a drive on the road past the turn off to the cabin as it will take you to some very beautiful scenery all the way down to the Stanislaus River. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely rent the cabin again.

The house was spotless and first looks were nice.
Some of the bowls in the kitchen need to be replaced. There were chips and cracks Another thing that would have been helpful was a flashlight. We were in need due to a mishap with our car ending up in the soft ground at the end of the driveway.
We fixed the ceiling fan so that it actually cooled the room a bit.
From a safety perspective, recommend blocking the end of the driveway in some manner. We had a problem and ended up in the soft dirt. AAA got us out. Recommend you have a contractor out to shore up those stairs and that you indicate the access is steep with more than just stair access. Also nails poking up. It would make a difference for individuals that have physical issues or children knowing what to expect. We ended up not carrying our suitcases up - just the bear necessities in a smaller bag.
Very noisy floors when walking in the house. We assumed the deck was in the back of the house - just thought you would want to add that info in your description.
Furnishings were great - everything someone would want after a day of hiking, fishing or swimming for the day.
Other than that we enjoyed our visit with our our friends who all own properties in Big Trees. We started our vacations over 40 years ago with our friends and families. Very familiar with the area
