Wildlife is found in the area, including deer, coyote, badgers, bobcats, mountain lions, skunks, regular & ground squirrels, gophers, chipmunks, insects, i.e., black widows, brown recluses, tarantula spiders, snakes, scorpions, ants, mice, and rats - NOTE: The property does not have air conditioning - NOTE: Be aware of wildlife on-site - NOTE: The Topanga Canyon involves potential risks like fires, floods, and road closures. During the dry season, there is risk of fire, during the rainy season, there is risk of mudslides, road closures, and floods. Please know that risk when booking your stay - NOTE: During high winds, fire season and "Santa Ana" weather conditions, Los Angeles County may call a "Red Flag" warning for extreme high risk of fire danger. This creates a rare possibility that the local electricity provider SoCal Edison will implement a "PSPS" (Public Safety Power Shutoff) to prevent wildfires.
