The accommodation is quaint and unique. It is in the hard of town (both a negative and positive, as the walk there is extremely steep). The bathroom and kitchen are nicely updated. The seagulls are extremely loud from the crack of dawn till sunset. We thought it charming, but their incessant shrieks cannot be ignored and never stop. If you like steep walks and uniqueness, this is a great place.
The gas fireplace in the living room was a let-down: somehow it does not generate heat like other gas fireplaces we have had. We were disappointed. The washer-drier combo is not great - the machine will wash, but it will not dry at all. We had to airdry the load of laundry and everything smelled moldy after washing. The stairs are beyond steep and you will need to keep going up and down these challenging stairs. It can be done, but definitely not suitable for everyone. The key is in a lockbox near the ground. It was actually quite tricky to get the box to open after putting in the code. We managed eventually but thought for a minute we may need assistance. I would not call the place 'spotless' with quite a few cobwebs here and there. We had 2 great nights. The third night, the unit next to ours was rented out as well, and we could hear the neighbors shout until 2am. Peaceful sleep when there is nobody next door, but the sound insulation is not good when you have neighbors who do not think about others...

I don't think there was anything we didn't like. The hosts have obviously got a lot of experience and put a lot of effort into creating a quality property.

Fascinating cottage on four floors with basically a room on each floor. Tastefully and charmingly decorated. Cosy and comfortable. Kitchen was really great with all you could need and a practical layout. Enjoyed our al fresco breakfasts. Really great position in the village; handy for the pubs and the lovely browsy shops. Great coastal walks right out of the front door. Handy to have parking in the Fisherhead car park. Great little cottage.
