Black Pearl Stays - Saltburn Apartments

The space was lovely - clean with everything you needed, comfy bed, good shower. Very close to the sea front. Owners were helpful and there was information on local amenities. You're close to the station and Sainsburys, and the centre of the town.

The info about finding the lock box was initially a bit confusing, and depending on what link I used, or whether I used Google maps I got a different 'front door' when I put the address in - so I wasn't entirely sure where I was going. However all good once in. Email not a fast way to communicate with the owners (but they were lovely when they did respond, and it wasn't an excessive wait - just not for 'emergencies')

Great location and fantastic property. It was all decorated to a high standard. I can’t fault it!

Very well stocked. We could adjust the heating. Thoughtful but dark decor. Owners were available and gave helpful, clear instructions. Saltburn has lots of great cafes, with different specialities.

On second floor up very steep upper staircase (we are in our 70s and with cases it was a struggle). We thought we had booked Ground Floor. Loose stair carpet on short staircase in flat. Being asked to allow maintenance work during our stay, which should have been done before our stay. Lots of scuffs on paintwork in hallway. Underbed and wardrobe shelf dusty. Access to main rubbish bins being in the garden two floors down and out through a fire exit in back garden. Didn’t like extra cost for cleaning and services fee when booking.com said price all inclusive, a well as large breakages deposit.

Stairs were steep felt the decor was too dark no parking
