Residenza Ponte Pietra - Domus Verona

Great location and experience! View from the living room and master bedroom was amazing!!

Nothing at all.

Apartment in city house close to the Roman bridge situated on higher floors. Elevator did not work when we arrived with luggage and 1) the lady handing over the keys gave the impression that this was nothing new to her (we speak Italian) and 2) we really had to insist to have it repaired the next day. Only 2 sets of keys for 8 persons in a cultural place like Verona is NOT enough. 3 nice but smaller rooms on 3rd floor with private bathrooms, 1 room on 5th floor. (This room for two persons does not have a door to the general living room but is only separated by a narrow and steep u-turn staircase hardly to identify on the pictures). Sound travels up and down! For sleeping you need to keep a window open as the rooms all but one are not very big. Good beds, clean, bathrooms of different size and quality (see below). Great interior design and very bright with windows. Piano is just decoration, sounds rather broken. As a family of 8 we enjoyed the gorgeous living room with the unbelievably beautiful view. Breakfasts and also takeaway food from downstairs. Any Person 9 and 10 would need to sleep on the living room sofas (good for a nap, not attractive as a bed). Apartment for 10 ... Probably very hot in higher season and summer. No Air condition as far as we remenber. Warm in Winter. Good central heating was switched on before we arrived in early (and rather fresh) February '26.

1) The Elevator once again did not work. (See reviews by other visitors). Personal and landlord clearly seemed to have known before. Was handled reluctantly, had to be repaired the next day, because we insisted. When we SUGGESTED a reduction by taking over the tourist tax, (because this elevator issue seems to happen most of the time) the company directly threatened us with LEGAL consequences by the government of Verona (directly threatening us with additional PENALTIES instead of making contact with us). Thus the Appartment seems not reliably suitable for ELDER persons or with WALKING RESTRICTIONS (3 to 5 staircases up, livingroom on 4, rooms on 3 and 5). Beware of luggage ;-) 2) Son in law severely CUT a flesh wound at his throat with the damaged shower head in their bathroom (pictures available). Shower head was exchanged the next day. The renting company even consented in writing (e-mail!) that the shower head had been UNSAFE (saying 'now it is according to safety requirements AGAIN'). NO EXCUSE or whatsoever from the renting company or the person (Mr. Marco) in charge. Very special. IN A NUTSHELL: Impressive apartment, renting company does only care technically, if you really insist (elevator, after you climbed 4 staircases up once, then 4 down to the evening restaurant and 4 up again for sleep and 4 down for you day excursion the next day ;-)) - or if they really see trouble coming (flesh wound by omittedly unsafe shower head). 3) Minor issue: Equipment rather limited or stored in higher shelves where only personal may know to look for on a somewhere hidden ladder. If you would use 8 glasses, you would need to wait for the dishwasher if you feel like another round an hour later. Same for plates, cups, pots. 4) Noise? Place next to the base station of the FUNICULARE to the view point and 2 cafes downstairs. Rooms facing in that direction. In February and colder weather quiet enough, in warmer season expected to be very busy also at night time.

The most incredible view ever! During the day or in the evening the views were stunning. Very spacious apartment with lots of space. Close to all the sights and within walking distance to many restaurants. A great mercantile right around the corner that makes exceptional home made food if you don’t feel like going to a restaurant. A great wine shop a few stores down too which provided exceptional knowledge of local wines. The staff that checked us in was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have nothing negative to say

The location and view were amazing. The upstairs for living and downstairs for sleeping worked extremely well. Also the staff at Domus Verona were fantastic and helped so much. We loved it.
