Cruachan Cabin

Excellent lodging! Not far off the main road in a peaceful area with pleasant and relaxing views. The building is masterfully constructed, with design that there is no unused areas. The inside was cozy and functional to meet all our needs. Mearns and Caroline were incredibly warm, welcoming, and glad to give us tips on locations. Anyone that stays here will have a time they won’t forget because of the love that they put into their work to accommodate you. 10/10

We didn’t have a dish scrubber to clean our dishes well. A broom and pan would be nice. We wanted to leave our cabin clean to reduce the work of our amazing hosts!

In der Unterkunft hat es viel Platz, sodass wir uns problemlos mit unseren zwei großen Koffern im Wohnbereich ausbreiten konnten. Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Die Küche hatte alles was es brauchte, dazu haben wir von den Gastgebern noch Milch, Toastbrot, Butter, Joghurt und Eier gestellt bekommen. Caroline hat uns persönlich empfangen und auch verabschiedet, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben, weil der Aufenthalt dadurch nicht so anonym blieb. Von der Unterkunft aus hat man einen wundervollen Blick Richtung Berge und kann die Wetterverhältnisse am Old Man of Storr beobachten. Zudem hat man von dort einen recht guten Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel mit dem Auto zu erkunden. Alles in allem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und würden die Unterkunft jedem empfehlen, der einige Tage auf der Isle of Skye verbringen möchte.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas abseits gelegen, weswegen man aus unserer Sicht auf ein Auto angewiesen und nicht ganz so flexibel ist. War für uns aber nicht dramatisch.

Everything was perfect, the host was very welcoming and kindly provided us with bread, eggs, milk, butter and cheese in the fridge. The cabin was spotless and it was in a very quiet location. Perfect for a getaway trip!
