The owners of the house who were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay - they live upstairs with separate entrance. The house is the last one on a narrow street in the old harbour area of the town. The road continues as a track - through the ruins of the ancient gate of Hermes and Charites, and up into the wooded hills where the Greek theatre and ruins of the Acropolis and sanctuary of Pan. The house is also a few yards walk through to a lovely sandy beach with cafes, bars and tavernas - great for children and for snorkelling in clear water. The shower was good and hot after swimming in early Summer (end May) sea. The kitchenette has most of what you need to make breakfast/salads or simple food with 2 electric rings and a kettle, and the host had supplied olive oil, salt and pepper, tea, wine, beer, juice and water for arrival as well as bread and cheese for toasted sandwiches, and some wonderful honey. Later we even sampled some of the hosts' delicious home-cooking!
The only slightly awkward thing is that the room with the comfy double bed is very narrow on each side of the bed, and there was no bedside lamp, or socket in that room.
In the kitchen it would have been useful to have a small bread board/chopping board, and also a coffee maker for the stove or a filter to use for ground coffee.
