About this cottage rental
A peaceful and quiet Welsh stone built cottage, perfect for the pets too.
On the banks of the Mon and Brecon Canal.
This picturesque cottage is very spacious with a huge lounge/diner, breakfast room and a lovely extensively equipped kitchen.
Totally refurbished combining, beautiful traditional Welsh cottage living with a little up to date styling mixed in
This beautiful cottage has been sympathetically restored and is a perfect get away for anyone wanting some quiet time with the family and pets.
CANAL SIDE COTTAGE
Our beautiful 19th Century cottage is a stone built quaint cottage set in a picturesque lane on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
The cottage is steeped in history and is right next door to the home of John Fielding who is a known as a hero for his part in the battle of Rorkes Drift, he was one 149 British Troops who fought hand to hand with 4000 Zulu warriors. Mr Fielding was awarded the highest commendation with the Victoria cross for the incredible bravery he showed in this war and he lived out his days, just next to our Canal Side Cottage.
We are on the route of the famous ‘In the steps of the pilgrims’ circular walk.
The walk is a 7.5 hour round (literally) trip on foot taking in some of the most historical and important sites we have in the area.
Walking in the steps of the pilgrims who made this journey in ancient times.
We have all sorts of shops, eateries and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away.
Our cottage is perfect for families with pets due to the walks and the surrounding Welsh hills.
We do request that dogs and pets are not to be brought into the furniture and strictly no animals in the bedrooms/beds.
Guests have access to every part of the cottage.
We are always available should you need us.
A stunning quiet little lane, set back off the main stretch and on the banks of the mon and Brecon Canal.
Our fantastic pet friendly home is a typical stone built Welsh cottage and has exposed stone walls throughout to give that lovely, cosy, traditional feel.
We have a space at the front of the cottage.
There is ample on road parking also on our quiet lane.
As we are a mid terrace cottage, we must (respectfully) insist that our adorable neighbours are considered.
STRICTLY no parties or loud music please.
