The apartment was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Instructions for gaining entry etc. were clear. Host was responsive to a query we sent and pleasant to deal with.
Loved the location - it's just along from the main bit of The Barbican in the direction of The Hoe, so it's very handy for all the pubs, eating places and shops, but the apartment itself is in a quieter area. The view from the lounge and front bedroom is lovely and really interesting, lots of boats to watch - and there's a small balcony too. We used to live in Plymouth and it was a novelty to see Sutton Harbour from a different viewpoint!
The apartment is up some stairs which was fine for us and means you get a good view and no-one above you, but may not be suitable for all. Can't comment on parking as we travelled by train. We walked to the apartment from the railway station as we don't mind a walk and knew where we were going, but if you have mobility issues or lots of luggage, you may prefer a taxi. It's walkable from the apartment into the city centre and handy for other attractions such as the aquarium, boat trips, Tinside Lido, The Hoe etc. If you travel by train like us, you can get buses from the city centre to different places for days out. At time of writing, there's a mini Morrisons and a decent-sized Co-op on the Barbican, so you aren't far from somewhere to stock up on the basics.
In summary, we enjoyed it and would happily stay again.
