Woodside Cabin

The cabin was well equipped with amazing views. It availed a warm cozy centre for our exploration of the many sightseeing highlights. Great location. Host was very friendly, offering any support during the stay.

Beautiful location, quiet but not far from town centre. Short stay prevented me from exploring the area as much as I would have liked, but a forest walk to a Pictish hillfort was, literally, on the doorstep.

Couldn't get hot water in bathroom sink. Not a big deal for a couple of days, but it would have been annoying if I had been staying for a week or more.

Loved the views! Woodside Cabin is very comfortable, we arrived very late so didn't get to spend much time there but loved the little time we had and would certainly stay again! 😊

There was tea and coffee provided but no milk - it would have been nice to have been able to have a cup of tea or coffee especially as we had travelled 12 hours!

Was close to Inverness shops . Seeing the horses.

It wasn’t the cleanest needs a deep clean.couch smelt of dog and the throw couch had never been cleaned ie cushions removed and hoovered as loads of crumbs ect.back of the curtains are filthy and looks mouldy also. Could be doing with other pots & new oven trays including pizza ones . Used hand cream in the wardrobe floor with fluff and dirt on it . Was picked up and cleaned and put on the chest of drawers . Fire exit sign in one of the bedside cabinet. A warmer quilt is needed as the one on the bed is very thin. Extra pillows that are not feather filled would be helpful as I have allergies to them , had to use my own out our campervan that we used to travel to the cabin instead of our car. Cooker hood was thick with grease and dirt & bulb needs replacing , broken kitchen utensils, no instructions for cooker, no proper drainer for dishes next to the sink , drainer ( flimsy plastic) in cupboard is useless , no oven gloves , no safety gloves for the log burner was just a micro fibre cloth my husband buried his fingers . Shower is a safety issue pressure is poor goes Luke warm to cold then to extremely hot which burnt my husband . A toilet roll holder would be helpful also and a bathroom blind for better privacy. And there was Only one set of towels for one person was supplied should have been 2 for each person .washing machine had either dirty items or laundered items in it on arrival. Freezer needs fully de frosted and old used items discarded same with the open used items in the kitchen cupboard. Cabin was freezing on arrival . No logs were there for a fire , there was kindle wood but not a great amount in the bottom of 2 plastic bags outside lots of plastic bags ( empty) even in the field where the horses are we did remove them as much as we could without climbing over 1 bag of kindling in the basket but no actual logs to heat the cabin . Price list on the wall for logs is overpriced as you can get bags of logs from b&m for £5.
