A lovely place in which you feel so at home it’s hard to leave. Lovely views. Spacious dining and living rooms. Tasteful furniture and decor. Comfy beds. Well-equipped kitchen with (a rare treat) an Arga. Some lovely touches of antiquity like an old fashioned desk, a characterful upright wooden beam, a nice lived-in atmosphere. A total delight.
When you arrive and go through the drive there are several buildings and it’s not obvious which to go to.
The trick is to drive (or walk) straight on till you get to the furthest building, on your right. This info could be useful especially for those arriving after dark.

De ligging van Paythorne Farmehouse in de Downs en de charme van de accommodatie.
Koken met het AGA-fornuis was ook wel leuk.
Er is geen koffiezet, maar dat wisten we vooraf, dus hebben we er rekening mee kunnen houden. Er zou ook geen haardroger zijn, maar die was er wel.
We hebben geen hosts gezien, maar alles was wel duidelijk uitgelegd.

Super logement en pleine campagne, au calme, au milieu de la nature. Très grande maison où tout est prévu pour passer un bon séjour. La cuisine est très fonctionnelle, la pièce à vivre est très confortable avec sa cheminée facile d'utilisation. Le jardin est immense avec sa terrasse d'été qui doit être agréable aux beaux jours. A seulement 20 min de Brighton et à 7 min des commodités pour faire son shopping. Séjour parfait. Merci aux hôtes.
Nous avons essuyé une tempête avec des vents violents pour la Nouvelle année. Le vitrage assez fin n'isolait pas suffisamment mais nous avons vécu des conditions extrêmes rares.

Everything about this place was wonderful ❤️
What a wonderful 4 night stay we had! An amazing property which had everything we could wish for. The house is beautiful, spacious and the grounds are lovely. We were in January but I can only imagine how fabulous they are in the Summer. Pauline was so helpful throughout our stay. Would we return, yes ~ in a heartbeat.
