Graziella, LUXURY APARTMENT 2 bedrooms, Terrace and Private Parking downtown Lucca

Great location, secure entry, car parking space and just a lovely apartment which was well presented and had everything we needed for our weeks stay in Lucca.

Parking in ancient towns in Italy can be a problem, so the fact that there was an allocated car-space in a gated community was a big plus for us. This is an apartment in a mid-20th century block of flats outside the city walls, but with only a few hundred metres to stroll directly into the heart of ancient Lucca. We rated the location perfect to explore the city, and then retreat at night. The rooms are spacious and the apartment is clean and comfortable. The neighbourhood seemed safe and it was quiet. Overall we enjoyed our stay - a somewhat typical Italian feel to it. As it's on the second floor, a tiny elevator was useful for our heavy luggage. There are supermarkets, restaurants and gelateria quite close, and we had contact details for the person who gave us the keys and made sure we were across relevant details for the apartment, with a warm welcome.

The apartment is managed by a company that has a number of properties in Lucca, and the initial detailed instructions emailed to us were a little confusing (suggesting that public carparks or street parking would need to be sourced - but it turns out that this was applicable to other managed apartments. It took a number of initially unanswered emails to clarify.) There was no salt and pepper, tea, coffee or sugar (much less other condiments) or washing powder, and I think that we only found dishwasher tablets because a previous guest had left them - the instructions indicated that only one tablet would be provided. This seemed a little miserly for an apartment costing over 1600 euros a week, when in our experience most self catering apartments provide these basics (and often a welcoming pack as well). We felt that the air-conditioning struggled a little in providing some warmth on one day when it was slightly cool and we sampled it briefly. Possibly the filters need cleaning. This apartment came close to a 10 rating for us, but for the price we felt that the above minor "niggles" reduced that rating a little.

Graziella was perfect for our family of four. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. So much nicer than a hotel room! The furnishings were beautiful! It was very hot in Lucca so we spent a lot of time in the apartment. The apartment is a short distance from the wall and the old town and it was easy to access it through a nearby portal. Chiara and Elizabeth communicated so clearly several days before we arrived. Elizabeth met us at the property and showed us everything we needed to know and also gave us lots of information about Lucca!

Tolles Apartment, super Lage sowohl in die Innenstadt von Lucca als auch für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Ruhig gelegen, fußläufig zu Frühstücksmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Supermarkt. Spitze, dass auch ein Parkplatz dabei. Einrichtung wunderschön und gut ausgestattet. Monica war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns Tips für Lokale und Ausflüge gegeben. Sie stand für Fragen immer zur Verfügung. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Wetter war leider sehr regnerisch und dann waren auch noch die Kinder krank. Gerade dann haben wir uns im Apartment aber sehr wohl gefühlt.
