Staff never welcomed, often seemed ticked off. Many things needed attention. WIFI did not work, door handle coming off, no room safe, light bulb in bathroom falling out of ceiling, toilet ran and ran (later after I kept tweaking it, it stopped). It's an odd place - not sure where the hotel begins and other businesses stop. I book a hotel because, if I meet someone (and that is the major pleasure of traveling), I want to bring them to my room, or dine in the restaurant. You can't do that here. If I had known it had guesthouse rules not hotel rules, I would not have booked. Turned out I didn't meet anyone but... just be up front. Large painting of Noah and the Ark in the lobby (?) - well, I'm not Christian so, I guess I'm not welcome.
