About this house rental
This large detached holiday home for a maximum of 14 people is located directly in Mayrhofen in Tyrol in the beautiful Zillertal Alps! The cottage offers mountain and river views and you can comfortably stay with a large group. The house offers a large living/dining room with an open kitchen, with 2 dining tables and a wood stove, several bedrooms and bathrooms (equipped differently), a large garden and parking spaces directly at the house. From the holiday home you can easily reach the individual ski areas in the Zillertal (Hochzillertal / Hochfügen / Spieljoch, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofner Bergbahnen - Mountopolis) with a total of 180 lifts and over 500 km of slopes and the surrounding hiking trails. There are plenty of adventure sports to experience for adrenaline junkies. From climbing and rafting to canyoning and paragliding. Explore the area on foot or by bike and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

I stayed here mid-September with a group of 5 other friends. The house is located ~15 minutes away from the town of Mayrhofen. The area where it is located is very quiet and peaceful - there are great views of the mountains, and there is a nice stream running directly behind the house.
The house was a good base for our group - we went hiking in the mountains one day and another day we drove ~30 minutes to Hintertux to go skiing.
The house is large and it was nice for everyone in our group to have their own room. There are also multiple bathrooms and showers which was nice. The house is quite basic (not luxurious) - it appears that it is used as a hostel at certain times of the year.
One complaint that our group had was that one of the deciding factors in selecting this house was that it had a hot tub. When we arrived, the owner said that the hot tub was not working. He later told us that he had fixed the hot tub, however, if we wanted to use it, we needed to give him time to fill it with water and heat it up. We got the impression that the owner did not really want us using the hot tub, so our group didn't use it. If the owner is going to promote the house as having a hot tub and feature it in the pictures, I feel as though they should make sure it's working properly for all groups. That said, we had a positive overall experience with the house and would stay again.
