La Prévôté - Luxury Chambres d'hôtes & Gastronomic Restaurant

Great hotel experience. The pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Le Prévôt is an excellent and highly charming hotel with an absolutely wonderful location. The location truly takes the cake because the hotel is situated right in the middle of the historic pedestrian quarter of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, making the town fully accessible on foot. The building itself is steeped in history and was apparently once part of the priest’s quarter associated with the neighboring church. The old stone structure gives the hotel tremendous character and authenticity. Adding to the atmosphere is a tributary of the River Sorgue flowing directly beneath the hotel near the dining area, which creates a peaceful and memorable setting. The room we were given was excellent by European standards, very spacious, with an adjoining sitting area that made the stay especially comfortable. The room was spotless, and the bathroom was also generously sized. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay and found the accommodations both elegant and relaxing. The breakfast was somewhat limited in selection with no warm food, but the dining room itself was quiet, charming, and pleasant. We also understand that the hotel restaurant is highly regarded and serves a combination French/Indian cuisine. We heard wonderful things about the chef, who was personally very charming and gracious when we met her. Unfortunately, during the two days we stayed in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the restaurant happened to be closed, so we could not experience it ourselves. Instead we ate a Michelin starred restaurant 15 minutes away and were highly disappointed. The owner was also extremely warm and gracious. Despite our late arrival after 5 p.m., he personally checked us in, which we truly appreciated.

Cons: The check-in process may feel a little unusual for some guests because there is hardly anyone stationed permanently at the reception desk. It is like a self-check-in experience, which may make some travelers uncomfortable. Parking is also a significant issue. There is a large public parking lot approximately 100 meters from the hotel, but it is often completely full. After a long drive from Nice, we had to wait quite a while before finally finding a parking space by chance when another car pulled out. Guests arriving by car should be prepared for potential delays and frustration with parking availability. In addition, the parking is expensive, we paid approximately 40 euros for overnight parking in a little village. The view from our room was somewhat restricted because of a large tree directly outside the window, although this was only a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the stay.

It is so quaint and decorated lovely makes you feel so comfortable like being at home!! The river running underneath is so unique !!! The restaurant was a pleasure loved the breakfast. Dinner was delicious and a great dining experience!!

There isn’t anything not to like!! The staff go out of their way to help you with anything you need. Location is amazing. The town is absolutely beautiful and there are so many prices to see and visit in the area.!!

Great, central location in a beautiful historic building! Very comfortable, well appointed rooms. Breakfast was very nice as well. Would absolutely stay here again!
