Imagine being surrounded by nature away from everything but still only minutes from all the luxuries of what you need & want. Picturesque community in the heart of Portage Lakes that reminds you of what life used to be like. Quiet & enjoyable, whether your cooking out, kayaking on the lake, swimming, or relaxing with a fishing pole. This is a hunting & fishing paradise.
Need or forgot something, Acme fresh market is less than 5 minutes away with no traffic along with an array of restaurants & shops. Not to mention endless parks, biking & hiking trails. 20-25 mins will get you to The Pro Football Hall of Fame, Akron Zoo, The Science Center, Cuyahoga National Forest & Golf courses. The Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame is 40-45 mins & the No.1 Amusement Park in the World Cedar Point is just over an hour away.
What you will notice about what we are trying to do here is make everything less stressful. Like providing outdoor gas grill, kayaks with life vests for all sizes, Tiki Torches for those nights whether you need them or just want them for ambiance. We also try to surround you with plants & flowers. Binoculars to watch humming birds & owls, wood peckers and other beautiful birds. Everything nature has to offer is just a stay away. We have completely remodeled everything from Fresh paint, New furniture, wood floors, cabinets to the granite counter tops and then some. It will stay nice and (clean) for every guest that stays with us, that's our promise to you. We believe we will be your come back destination. See You Soon... P.S. People with mobility or weight issues may have trouble at our location. Also if you a complain alot & carry a negative energy. Please don't consider us. Anyone can find something wrong with anything. But nobody wants to hear or read about it.

The property was not welcoming to pets. Owner does not want your dog to go into the water. I ended up driving mine all the way home (hour drive each way) because the owner has a newly remodeled very small home. Be aware the owner will be watching you arrive peeking out the windows next door. Not letting you know of his existence.

Clean on the inside, beautifully landscaped on the outside. Suited all of our needs for a two day get-away. Fishing off the dock and kayaking. Two clean patios that view the lake. The description should probably be two half baths, as the bathroom with the toilet is upstairs and the bathroom with the shower is downstairs. A bit inconvenient, especially for older couples, or larger groups.

Place was spic and span! Very beautiful views of the lake. Don’t go in hunting season though, the gunfire was constant for three days and scared our dog to death. Also, be aware if you have a small dog that the spiral staircase is literally a hole in the living room floor! We had to build a pillow wall to keep our dog from falling thru to the basement level. Also, the toilet is in such a small area it feels like you are in a stall at Walmart.

The property location is strange, but the location on the lake is amazing. We had a great sunrise every morning. The top floor of the property is great. The layout is strange. There is only a toilet and sink up top, the shower is on the lower floor which is difficult to get to using the spiral staircase. The neighborhood was difficult to maneuver through, and a bit run down. The lake house is one of the nicest properties we saw. Our biggest drawback was the smell of the water in the house. I am assuming it was a well water. It was undrinkable and after showering we still felt unclean.
