The property itself was nice. Our host, Andrea, was very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. Andrea was friendly and attentive. Internet access was strong and adequate - 5 people with smartphones and three laptops. Water pressure was great. The area was quiet and peaceful. We felt safe in the neighborhood. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the neighborhood was like a dead zone. The kitchen was relatively small. There were 5 of us and we cooked everyday! There weren't many restaurants within walking distance, so we cooked. It was manageable and our host provided everything we needed to make it work. I would recommend renting a vehicle to get around. Public transportation is almost nonexistent. There is a COOP grocery store not too far away from the property - we walked. Prices are a little high...comparable to Whole Foods in the States. If not driving, I recommend daytime arrival and departure time. The airport is about 20mins drive. There isn't a good public transportation route from the neighborhood, especially earlier and later in the day. We enjoyed waking up to birds singing. The property is on a private road, ideal for family with younger children, too. If you like it quiet, you will enjoy this place. It was clean. The amenities were adequate, the people were friendly! The welcome is excellent but the location is pretty hard to find, whilst a relatively quiet part of Milan it was not quite what we expected. The details indicated that there was only one room but in fact there were three plus a kitchen and a lounge area. We thought we were going to receive a breakfast but there were just two small cakes and a kettle. This was not a major problem as we were making an early start to leave but felt slightly misled. The worst problem was that the towels in the bathroom were in need of a very good hot wash. They smelt musky and dank and were unusable. The venue was acceptable but in reality the accommodation needs some attention. That having been said Andrea was a very pleasant host who was a delight to meet.
