Welcome to Almost Alys, a stunning Orange Beach vacation home located in the idyllic Village of Tannin community. Adjacent to the Gulf State Park and across the street from the beach, Almost Alys is the perfect location to enjoy all the natural resources the Alabama Gulf Coast has to offer. Professionally managed by Kaiser Vacation Rentals, Almost Alys welcomes you with immaculately designed coastal interiors and an enchanting community that feels removed from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Offering 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, this Orange Beach vacation home comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests. Almost Alys' features include a fully stocked chef's kitchen and expansive living room seating to accommodate the whole family. Plus, family time is top of mind with 2 oversized front decks, a back patio with a TV and fireplace, and 2 indoor living areas: 1 for the adults and 1 for the kids. What's more, The Village of Tannin offers numerous family-friendly amenities, including an Olympic-size pool, deeded beach access, access to the Gulf State Park through the Rosemary Dunes Trail, and an onsite ice cream shop and bike rental shop.
Upon entry to the main floor of Almost Alys, guests are greeted by an open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen overlooking an expansive terrace on the front and a cozy porch on the back. This floor also boasts a breathtaking bedroom with a soaring, two-story ceiling and an en suite bathroom as well as a half bath off the kitchen. Upstairs includes three additional bedrooms: a king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom overlooking another large deck, and a queen bedroom that shares a jack-and-jill bathroom with the bunk room. Beyond the family-friendly floor plan, this Orange Beach vacation home offers comfortable indoor and outdoor seating for every guest, plus generous flat-screen TVs in the living areas and every bedroom.
Important Notes: Guests under 25 years old must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome at this property. Overall the stay was OK and we’d consider another stay, if these things were addressed. 1. Pots and pans were clearly dirty and required their complete hand washing due to food visible in pots/pans bottoms and covers. This led us to check every other kitchen item and wash them knowing that the last renter didn’t clean them. 2. Silverware and cooking utensils were dirty and scattered in multiple draws which just made using g thing harder to find. 3. Living room and dining room furniture isn’t really to the level of standard for this rental fee. Not comfortable and lacks seating for more Than 5 Or 6 people. For a home sleeping up to 10, more attention is needed here. 4. The upstairs primary bedroom mattress is awful and lack of additional blankets throughout the house was surprising. 5. The pool is great while again the outside seating is insufficient for more than 4-5 people. 6. TVs are plentiful while some type of operating guide would have been helpful to avoid “figuring it out” in each room. 7. Outdoor shower is nice but its location isn’t easily accessible and won’t be the primary entry or exit from the pool, thus not very useful. 8. Lack of beach chairs, sand wagon, and umbrella was surprising given the house rental fee. Positives1. Location2. Pool and beach choice every day3. Size of home4.
