Lovely hotel. Bed was comfy. Shower was hot with free shampoo etc
The air con unit took up all of the window though which wasn’t great so I had no view out.
Lifts were problematic but as old as the hotel.
Rooftop bar was lovely

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location was incredibly convenient for walking to the ballgame, the pier, and the village by the water, plus easy access to public transport. The hotel has a cute vibe and was pleasantly quiet throughout our stay. As history buffs, we loved the historical character of the building. The rooftop was a highlight—having dinner there with a beautiful view on our last night made for a memorable experience. Little touches like the candy bowl made us feel welcome. We’d definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

Booked based on reviews, however apart from the good location, & well stocked snack and drink choice, it didn't live up to expectation. The bed whilst comfy, was slightly raised in the middle, and if you didn't get it right, you lay on a slant. The bathroom products were heavily perfumed and not my choice. The duvet xover had small tears in it, and the air con was loud. I used the remote to turn it off when i was out, and it wouldnt turn back on later. Reception had to come in and manually turn it on, and recommended i not turn it off. Not great for energy saving (but thanks Berlin). And why was my card charged 1c on checkout??!! Weird & not worth following up. Having said that, San Diego is a beautiful city.
