Three bed, forest view home

The decor, the well-equipped kitchen where washing-up liquid, tea towel, j-cloth, cleaning sponge and even a dishwasher tablet were all included together with a supply of teabags, coffee and sugar, salt and pepper and a range of other cupboard essentials. The appliances were of good quality and all worked well. The beds were very comfortable and the central heating system was easy to operate. The whole place was spotlessly clean and well maintained. A lot of thought had gone into making the house welcoming.

Just the one bathroom in which the only loo was also situated was not ideal and might have been more awkward, especially in the mornings, had we been six of us as originally planned but as two people dropped out it was manageable. Otherwise we had no complaints and really enjoyed our stay.

It was in an ideal location for what we needed. The house was lovely and clean and had pretty much everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. The owner was very responsive and always responded to any messages sent.

There is a camera in the back garden which made us feel like we were on big brother, but also understand it’s probably needed for the owners security and peace of mind. The stairs in the house are very steep and each step is small, which did result in two of the children falling down the stairs, that is obviously not the owners fault though and simply just the design of the house.

The property was immaculate and had everything we needed. Decorated to a very high standard comfy and cosy. We stayed for two nights, two adults a 4yr old and an infant. The area was quiet and within a great distance to local shops and towns. I am originally from a nearby village and was visiting family. The instructions were really straight forward and host on hand via WhatsApp with quick responses. I would highly recommend and we will 100% return and use this a few times a year when visiting. Bedding was very soft and cosy. I particularly loved the curtains in the second bedroom. The heating was controlled via hive and worked perfectly. A starter kit provided for our arrival which made the stress of cleaning baby bottles and having a cup of tea following a long trip was so welcome and it’s those little touches that make a place.

My only gripe is the toilet down stairs,you are wide awake after getting down the steep stairs through the house to the bathroom.A toilet upstairs would of made it perfect.Apert from that it’s a lovely place and would recommend it.
