Campanile Annecy - Cran Gevrier

Everything was nice, room maybe wasnt big but it was more than enough. You have a closet and the desk. It was really nice.

The staff could speak better english but the rest was fantastic and they were nice.

Rooms were clean and easy to commute to city centre. Absolutely free parking with enough spaces is a massive advantage. Breakfast was amazing and worth for paying it. The people at the hotel were so kind and friendly.

We enjoy the silence ! Calm and serenity

The motel (not a hotel) was very easy to find, and parking was excellent. There was plenty of free parking available both in front of the reception and behind the building, which made arrival very convenient. The property has two floors, and guests should be aware that there is no elevator, so access to the upper floor is only by stairs. The location is quite good. I walked to the city center, which was perfectly doable. The GPS tried to route me through some small side roads, but I found it much better to follow the main road, which felt safe and straightforward. The waterfront, where you can see the boats, is approximately a 45–50 minute walk from the motel. The scenery along the way, with the mountains, trees, and water, is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. The motel also informed me that there is a bus stop nearby, making public transportation an option. In addition. Travelling by train (if that would be your choice of traveling to Annecy) is very easy, as the train station is located right in the city center. There is also a small shopping center nearby for basic shopping needs. The staff experience was mixed. While the employee who checked me in was not particularly welcoming, the two employees at check-out were extremely friendly, which left a much better final impression.

Unfortunately my stay did not start smoothly. Upon arrival, my reservation could not be found in the motel's system, even though it was confirmed through Booking.com. I had to show my booking confirmation myself and communication about the issue was limited until I specifically asked what was happening. Although the staff eventually resolved the problem and assigned me a room, it did affect my first impression. The room itself was very basic. While it was acceptable for one night, I did not feel particularly comfortable during my stay. The overall atmosphere gave me an uneasy feeling (I was traveling alone). It was not unsafe, but the setting and vibe simply did not make me feel at ease. The bathroom also had several issues. There was some mold present, the toilet was unusually low and the toilet, did not appear to have been properly cleaned after the previous guest. The television did not work and the soap was not making me happy (the way you have to push 50 times to have a good amount to wash your body). I found the price somewhat high for what was offered. The accommodation felt very minimalist, and the overall experience did not match the rate charged. I did not try much of the breakfast, so I can not fully evaluate it. However, overall, I would not choose to stay here again. It served its purpose for a single night, but I was genuinely relieved when it was time to leave.
