We stayed in July / August 2018. Family of 4 with 2 children aged 4 & 7.
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. This was on the ground floor which was ideal for access to the pool. (I believe the 2 bedroom apartments were on the first floor) The view of the pool and the host's house was beautiful!
The apartment was basic but comfortable. Very basic kitchen. Good sized fridge & freezer, but only 2 hobs & a microwave (no oven or grill). A BBQ was provided on the patio (need to buy some charcoal).
Inside the apartment was a small dining table with 2 chairs. This would be tight for 4 people, but as the weather was glorious we always ate outside so this wasn't an issue.
The air conditioning worked well & was appreciated. (No aircon in the bedroom)
The location is quite remote. A car is definitely needed. It's not far from Beaucaire by car. Supermarkets are around a 10 minute drive.
The hosts were lovely (they don't speak any English at all, but I speak French). They made us feel very at home. If the children wanted to use the pool in the evening, they switched the pool lights on for us. They brought us some fresh fruit & veg from their garden (Which was some of the best we've ever tasted). And it was my birthday while we were there, so Isabelle organised a little get together with the other guests and provided the most delicious tarte aux pêches and drinks. Merci Isabelle!
Negative points:
There were too many glasses, plates etc. So many that they took up ALL of the kitchen cupboards as well as the under TV storage! Having fewer of these, but more space for guests to store food would be preferable.
There was a selection of pans, but many of them were too big to fit on the hobs! Small & medium pans would have been more useful (especially as the apartment is only for 2-4 people).
The towels & sheets could have done with being replaced with new ones. The towels felt quite hard, and the sheets were a bit bobbly.
We would stay here again without hesitation. Beware though, this part of France is VERY hot in the summer! Which made the pool better than ever!!!
