About this villa rental
For those searching for timeless charm and dreamy views, Villa Milisoza offers a truly memorable holiday for families and friends.
The inside accommodation provides a comfortable living area with TV and a full kitchen equipped with a luxury Nespresso coffee machine and breakfast table, with doors leading to al fresco dining.
The ground floor spills out at every opportunity, tempting guests to make the most of the large terrace area and infinity pool with panoramic views over Souda Bay. Guests can sit and soak up the smells and scenery of the olive trees and beautiful pink sprays of Bougainvillea.
Both bedrooms on the second-floor benefit from balconies from where guests can enjoy their morning coffee watching the enchanted sight of the mountain goats and listening to the gentle sound of their bells. The master bedroom offers guests a peaceful sleep on a memory foam king size bed.
In the village square (20 mins walk) there is a shop where you can purchase freshly baked croissants, jams and honey and a nearby eco- friendly glass artisan store where you can watch glass blowing.
This traditional Cretan stone villa with blue gates and window shutters offers a perfect balance between lazy pool days and being slightly more adventurous in nearby Almyrida and Georgiopolis. Here you can participate in a variety of water sports or indulge in an extensive choice of bars and restaurants.
Koutalas Beach (1.5km): Isolated and unspoilt beach
Alymirda Beach (3.5km): Sandy beach with sun beds, water sports and restaurants/bars
Kalyves Beach (7km): Sandy beach with sun beds and water sports
Octopus Bay (5km): Small rocky bay used for diving, snorkeling and sunbathing
Lake Kournas (22km): A fresh water lake with sunbeds and pedal boats
Georgiopolis beach (22km): Sandy beach with water sports. In addition to the daily rate an additional 15€ per day will be charged for the ‘Climate Resilience Levy’ as directed by the Greek Government effective 1/1/25. This is a form of tourist tax and will be collected separately by the owners.

Lovely villa, just as on all of the pictures. In such a peaceful location. Villa more than met our expectations and is maintained to a very high standard. Great communication with owner.

This is a superb property that is equipped and furnished to a very high standard. Beds are really comfortable with air conditioning in both bedrooms. Little things like having bottles of water and kitchen essentials all available make a big difference so you can get on with holidaying straight away. It really is as good as it looks in the pictures with the pool and dining areas all having amazing views and being very peaceful as the neighbouring villa is occupied by a single permanent resident who is also very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area.
We stayed for 8 nights which was a big mistake, should have booked for 14! There is lots to do locally within easy driving. We visited Chania twice and Kalivaki beach twice as well. It combines well with a trip to beautiful Lake Kournas the same day. Octopus bay is only 10 minutes away and perfect for snorkelling or just enjoying the views.
Providing you have a car there are too many great tavernas to mention and all very well priced. The local tradition of providing a cake desert with Raki shots after the meal meant we often had bread, mains, desert and a drink plus shots afterwards for much less than we were used to paying on other holidays.
Getting to/from the airport is also an easy 40 minute drive.
Finally I should mention that we found the owners very relaxed but also really quick to respond and resolve the one issue we had during our stay.
So much to explore on Crete and this is the place to do it from!
