Great view from this apartment including from the pool. Sunsets are lovely and there is a taverna and small beach at the bottom of the driveway across the main road. The space was cute but the bathroom shower was almost impossible to fit into (very tiny). Check-in was easy once we found the place. Like many Cretan properties, there is no signage and gps isn't always accurate. We stayed 2 nights on our way travelling across Crete. There isn't much else in the immediate area and you would need a vehicle to get groceries etc.

A modern well-furnished and equipped property that was just what we were looking for - we had the ground floor 2-bedroom apartment. The manager met us on site at 10.30pm and was semi-resident at the property. Easy reach of Georgioupoli and Rethymnon. Although on the National Road, there was no disturbance. A lovely little sandy beach, not too busy, immediately opposite, with loungers and a small taverna. We didn't use the swimming pool much as the the weather was still chilly. Only downside: the rough steep driveway up to the property, though we got used to it; and no kitchen knives, eg bread knife. A car is essential due to its location.

We had truly amazing time in Pietra di Mare! Stunning location, great facility. Andreas and his family that owns the place were very nice, we had a little car issue and they were very kind to help us out. We felt very welcomed and at peace.
Definitely would come back there next time we are in Crete!
