Our family spent a week in mid-October at Le Haut Pré, and we absolutely loved it. The view over the Moselle valley was spellbinding and ever-changing, with the vistas from the panoramic windows in the veranda room particularly amazing. With accommodations over three floors, there are lots of fairly steep steps, but our five-year-old had no trouble popping up and down at will. Treacle and Laurent were lovely, welcoming, and generous, but also extremely discrete--even though they live next door, we only bumped into them when we had a question. We are recommending Le Haut Pré to our friends looking for a calm getaway in the rolling mountains south of Alsace.

We had a hearty welcome by the host familiy and immediately felt at home in Le Haut Pre. The house is very comfy with its 2 wood stoves, upstairs family bedroom and big kitchen / dining area. The view from the conservatory/terrace into the valley is magnificient, regardless of the weather! We enjoyed our stay there very much, and Laurent and Treacle supplied us with everything we could hope for - even fresh boletus / cèpe / porcini, since we were there during the season, and he had collected LOADS of them... We also received lots of valuable advice for day trips (the mines; Roman baths; forest walks), enjoy and relax!

We spent a wonderful week in this marvellous gite which has the most stunning views of the Vosges mountains. Treacle & Laurent (our hosts) have created a beautiful gite, built using locally sourced materials, traditional building techniques and ecological principles which leaves nothing wanting. From the well equipped kitchen, to the fantastic master bedroom, surpassed only by the sun room and veranda with breath-taking views of the Moselle valley. The surrounding area is packed full of nature, history, fantastic culture and activities for every age group. We could have spent a month and still not seen everything. We will definitely be returning and cannot recommend this gite highly enough.

Treacle et Laurent nous ont chaleureusement accueilli dans un gite magnifique avec vue superbe sur la vallée. Nous avons trouvé le calme et la tranquillité que nous recherchions. Le gîte est très bien équipé, nous avons particulièrement apprécié les recommandations d'activités dans la région faites par nos hôtes. A recommander vivement.
