It was clean and felt safe as a solo traveler that’s what I need. It was in easy walking distance to all the incredible things to see and do in York which was great. Also able to get some washing done before heading on my way for the rest of my holiday.
The guest kitchens were closed which was disappointing and both nights I was there I heated people running up and down the corridor at around 2am which was not very considerate.

Good shower and quiet area.
Better facilities- I had no toilet roll, no milk at reception for hot drinks, and couldn't guarantee reception to be there in person all the time.
