It was cozy, there was sweet attention to detail. Other than that it stayed sort of dark in the rooms (which was great for sleeping in - and also, it's winter) you couldn't really tell you were in a half basement at all. It was very thoughtfully designed.

The property was very nicely decorated and was well supplied with essentials.
It was very loud and smelled of paint. I believe they were still putting finishing touches on the place, so there were some lights hanging out of the wall and the fridge had no handle etc.
