I stayed in the garden room rather than the main house and it was lovely.
Comfy bed, little kitchen space to make a coffee/ tea.
The room was very spacious and led out to a patio area.
I will say it is a bit dated and the bathroom is where it let things down. Just feeling very old and weathered. Small bath with shower above. So tiny space for washing, despite a large bathroom.
Luckily I used the pool and spa facilities, so had a shower there.
Breakfast great choice of items. The cooked breakfast was ok. A lot of items were cold on arrival. I was in a hurry for work so didn’t have time to wait for another.
All in all a great stay and the small things wouldn’t stop me going back.

My son and I stayed. Overnight during the week. Wednesday to Thursday. The staff are amazing. The room was totally adequate for our needs. It did look a little bit old and shabby. On the outside. And the beds are a little bit on the soft side.
The staff went out of their way to help us out. And. Or very kind to my son and I. The gym was amazing. Swimming pools, clean tidy. Steam room sauna was really tidy. The area where we had breakfast. I had food that was not cleaned away, still under the table. That's why I gave four stars. Instead of 5 for cleanliness. Other than that, it was amazing. Very good value. We had a special offer. For overnight. I would recommend that particular experience to anyone who is not too fussy about. Certain things.

Comofortable stay for a night or two, enjoyable grounds and setting.
Downside is that there is no food on premises, nearby village is under 10 mins away for a variety of options.

When we arrived we were shocked at how lovely the setting is. However when we were shown to our room we were taken away from the manor and shown what looked like the stables(garden rooms) the room was large and really clean but the decor was out of the 80’s and just felt grubby. The bed was really comfortable and was surprised that housekeeping came in. Again unfortunately they just pulled the quilt back up and left the sheets and pillows?? The shower head didn’t work so had to use the hand held one. There were no tv instructions and couldn’t get terrestrial tv so had to sign into personal Netflix so just be warned to log out of your account before you leave!! We would like to go back when it’s updated and can get breakfast on site and maybe a bar!
