Galene, (pronounced Ga-Lay-Nee) is named after the Goddess of Calm Seas. This charming townhome is your respite for healing and renewal. In the heart of Old Mt. Pleasant, less than 15 minutes to downtown Charleston, 5 minutes to Sullivan's Island, Shem Creek and the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant, you are in the best location to all the area has to offer. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets minutes away at the Pitt Street Bridge. Grocery, restaurants all conveniently located close by.
Our space is filled with color, art and all things zesty about life. A Boho style, mixed with a little island flair. Have your morning cup of joe in the sunroom or an afternoon cocktail on the back deck.
Enjoy the fully stocked chef's kitchen with all the necessary pots, pans, plates, silverware, glasses and cookbooks to accommodate our guests cooking needs. Microwave, toaster and coffee maker also provided. We provide 1 complementary roll of paper towels and 4 rolls of toilet paper.
Other things to note:
- NOTE: The property requires 3 steps and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility
- NOTE: The bedrooms and full bathroom are on the second floor
- REGULATORY: Short-term Rental Permit #ST250259; Town of Mount Pleasant Business License #20132253
- PETS NOT ALLOWED: While we will accept requests for guests with ADA service animals with certificate, please consider other rentals as one of the hosts is allergic to some pet danders.

Extremely clean, Check in was easy and straightforward, check out the same. Beds were incredible. Loved having the 2 bathrooms and ability to cook and do laundry. My only complaint is how warm it was. We came during a heat wave, but coming from Kansas where it is over 100 degrees and humid (I know, hard to believe), I thought the AC unit of that size would be able to keep up with where we stayed. Unit may need cleaned out to be more efficient or at least provide 1-2 box or stand up fans for visitors for the price we paid to stay. 3 nights in a row it was 78 degrees inside when trying to sleep. Owner was notified and told “it’s very hot outside and hard to keep cool.” Overall a good stay and tons of memories.

Great location and wonderful communication. I wish they would put a bed rating on VRBO so I could give this place 5 stars! Lots of chairs for the beach and a nice quiet, low traffic area. Right off Coleman by the bridge. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay! Appreciated the beach chairs, beach towels, quality and quantity of towels, beds and special touches everywhere in the home! Also the outside space was so lovely. We really did not want for anything.
