Located just outside the village of Pickhill with far reaching views towards the Hambleton Hills, and within close proximity to the popular market towns of Thirsk, Bedale and Ripon, is LaLo, a detached, bright and airy barn conversion. Perfectly located for easy access to both the Dales and the North York Moors National Parks, this charming hideaway offers a comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area.
Offering luxury accommodation for family and friends, LaLo has the added benefit of being all on one floor. The open-plan living space has a well-equipped kitchen overlooking the countryside that surrounds the cottage, a dining area seating up to six guests with french doors leading out onto the patio, and a sitting area flooded with natural light from the arched window, and a wood burning stove making it a perfect hideaway to come back to on chillier days. Both bedrooms (a king-size and a double) are well-appointed and comfortable, with views across the open farmland and each benefiting an en-suite shower room.
The driveway that leads to LaLo sets the scene for a wonderful break in the countryside. The large garden wraps around the cottage and a paved patio area is an idyllic spot to enjoy a morning coffee in peace. The property is next to a working farm, which at times will have a seasonal harvest and be busy with lambing. Guests of Lalo will be thoroughly relaxed during their stay. There are an abundance of small market towns close by with attractions for all ages, such as Lightwater Valley for the younger ones, or Thorpe Perrow Aboretum and Bird of Prey Centre for all ages. Lalo is the perfect base for exploring Yorkshire.
****Should you stay between the beginning of March moving towards Easter, this is Lambing and Calving time on the farm, so guests may have the chance to enjoy them in the surrounding fields and barn****
