Hudson's Hideaway on South Lakeland Leisure Village sleeps four in two bedrooms.
The living areas of this single-storey lodge consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, Smart TV, Alexa with Bluetooth connection, and an electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with Smart TV and en-suite, and a twin, along with a shower room. Outside there is a wrap-around veranda with furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. One well-behaved dog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking an no stag, hen or similar parties. You'll find a shop in 0.9 miles, a pub in 0.5 miles, and Pine Lake in 1.2 miles. Highchair and travel cot available. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Hudson's Hideaway is a wonderful base, perfect for exploring Lancashire. Note: There are steps to the exterior. Clean basic accomodation. Failure to attend to issues , that whilst small in themselves, combine to leave a dissappointing experience.Previous reviews refer to bedroom doors out of alignment and not shutting, and a lack of cooking utensils. This is still the case. Chipped cheap crockery. Cheap bedding and very poor quality pillows in both of the bedrooms. Side lamps with such low wattage bulbs render themselves totally useless. All of this combines to deliver an underwhelming experience. Attention to these details would change this.all in all, the lodge is overpriced, definitely not 'luxury' as described, and poor value. The lodge management - sykes cottages- are unacceptably difficult to contact, either not responding, or taking several hours to return contact requests. Overall this is not a lodge i recommend. Search around for better value ; quality
