Large lakeland home in peaceful Elterwater, near Ambleside. Sleeps 8: 4 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Children & babies welcome. Up to 2 dogs. Wifi.
Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Encolsed garden with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Pub 5 mins walk. Shop 11 mins walk.
Town: Elterwater is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A tranquil hamlet with its tiny ‘swan lake’, Elter Water, sitting at the gateway of the striking Langdale valley. The soft valley landscape is in sharp contrast to the steep jagged Langdale Pikes. Elterwater sits between Ambleside and Great Landgale, where at the top of the valley the infamous Wrynose Path is the only way out of the u-shaped valley, giving it a superb sense of seclusion. The larger towns of Grasmere and Ambleside are both less than 4 miles away providing a host of options for shopping and eating out.
