The location is perfect to enjoy all Whitby has to offer, with amenities on the doorstep. Explore the labyrinth of quirky narrow streets and ginnels, stroll down to the harbour and cobbled market place and climb the 199 steps up to the famous Abbey, with breath-taking views along the coastline.
You are spoilt for choice with numerous restaurants, pubs, wine bars and quaint tea rooms, whilst all visitors must sample the renowned fish and chips! Enjoy the long sandy beaches with brightly painted beach huts, donkey rides and seafood stalls, whilst the surrounding area offers a wealth of attractions, whether it’s a trip on the steam train, exhilarating clifftop walks, or discovering the pretty fishing villages of Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Hillcrest cottage. It is exactly as shown in the listing. We loved the hot tub and sitting around the fire outside on the terrace watching the stars! Although it seems quite isolated it is less than half an hour’s stroll from Dunston and a few minutes further to Metheringham. The cottage and the views were stunning and we would highly recommend!

Great relaxing break in a fantastic countryside location but within minutes of a local village and 20 mins to Lincoln centre. Big en-suite rooms and all the facilities you need.
